Site Assessment

Educational organizations have multi-layered reasons for installing a renewable energy system. It’s important to match the goals to the resource to ensure that the size and type of technology meet expectations. Seventh Generation assesses the possibilities and works with project leaders to craft the optimal system to fit your budget, site specifications, and larger curriculum goals.

Since our beginning in 2002, we have held the mission of "education through implementation". Systems installed where young minds have access to learning opportunities are steps towards making decisions for the good of generations to follow. We have experience working with Schools, Colleges and Camps to meet those ends.

Seventh Generation provides a comprehensive set of services, from basic on the ground assessment to high level monitoring of resources with the newest technology. Our expereinced staff will assess your property’s potential for hosting a wind turbine taking into account: obstacles such as trees and buildings; distance to electrical connection; relevant local planning policies, and the various turbine options (including cost & production estimates) available to you. Whatever the size of your project, Seventh Generation is here to start you out on the right path.

Project Development

In the early stages of project development, there are many factors to consider:

  • What are the goals and benefits to the educational curriculum?
  • How can we take advantage of incentives and foundations to implement our goals?
  • How will students access the learning potential of renewable systems?
  • What kinds of projects already exist that we can learn from?

Seventh Generation has experience working with educational facilities and the teams of people that are working towards a vision. We have access to a network of educators and policy folks to ensure that your project is successful and meets your goals.
